Due to the need for a special election in Utah's 2nd Congressional District, statewide changes have been made to the 2023 election cycle.
House Bill 2001 mandates the following changes:
- Counties will conduct all elections in 2023.
- City/Town Councils will remain the board of canvassers for municipal elections.
- Municipal Primary Election (if needed) will be held on Tuesday, September 5th.
- Municipal General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 21st .
